U.S. Marshals' Biographies

Wilmer Ocasio-Ibarra was sworn in as the United States Marshal of the District of San Juan on September 29, 2019. The District of Puerto Rico is comprised of the Court House in Old San Juan, Hato Rey and Ponce.

Wing Chau was nominated by President Donald J. Trump to serve as the 33rd United States Marshal for the District of Rhode Island. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on April 11, 2019 and was sworn in by Chief Judge William Smith for the United States District Court of Rhode Island on May 13, 2019.

The Honorable Chrissie C. Latimore was nominated by President Joseph R. Biden, Jr., confirmed by the United States Senate, and appointed on December 9, 2022, to serve as the United States Marshal (USM) for the District of South Carolina.

David G. Jolley was appointed U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Tennessee by President Donald J. Trump. Marshal Jolley previously served as the U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Tennessee. He was appointed to the Western Tennessee U.S. Marshal position in February 2002 by President George W. Bush and served until April 2009.

On March 01, 2019, Denny King was sworn in as the United States Marshal for the Middle District of Tennessee. Denny W. King began his law enforcement career in 1973, as a Patrolman with the Lafollette, Tennessee, Police Department.

Tyreece L. Miller was sworn in as the United States Marshal for the Western District of Tennessee on July 10, 2020. Marshal Miller is responsible for the management, administration, and direction of operations throughout the district.

Jose Soto was designated by the Attorney General to serve as the Acting United States Marshal (USM) for the Eastern District of Texas in January 2025.

Sean Anthony Malecha was designated to serve as the Acting United States Marshal (USM) for the Northern District of Texas by Attorney General Pamela Bondi on September 15, 2025.

Susan Lewellyn Pamerleau serves as the 33rd United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas. She was confirmed by the United States Senate August 28, 2018 and sworn in September 17, 2018.

In February 2020, T. Michael O'Connor was sworn in as the U.S. Marshal of the Southern District of Texas. A fifth-generation South Texas rancher, U.S. Marshal T. Michael O'Connor continues his stewardship in public service and as a businessman.

The Honorable Justin L. Martinez was nominated by President Biden on October 14, 2023, confirmed by the U.S. Senate on June 7, 2023, and sworn-in to serve as the United States Marshal for the District of Utah on June 20, 2023.

Upon the retirement of United States Marshal Bradley LaRose on May 22, 2024, pursuant to the Federal Vacancies Reform Act, Chief Deputy United States Marshal (CDUSM) Hall assumed the role of Acting United States Marshal (AUSM) for the District of Vermont.
