  • U.S. Marshals Capture Attempted Murder and Robbery Suspects in Tennessee and Florida

    Jackson, TN – U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announces the capture of Sonny Hudson, Jr., age 19, of Decaturville, TN, and a juvenile, age 17, from Clifton, TN, for Attempted First Degree Murder and Especially Aggravated Robbery.

  • U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Capture Chester County Jail Escapee in Jackson

    Description

    Jackson, TN – On September 26, 2022, around 3:30 p.m., Chester County jail escapee, Aurelius Crayton was captured by the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force.

    Crayton, 40, and another individual, David Billings, escaped from the Chester County Jail on August 24, 2022. Billings was captured shortly after the escape; however, Crayton was able to elude authorities for a little more than a month.

    Akron, OH –  This afternoon, members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Jeremiah Williams, 21. Williams was wanted by the Akron Police Department for homicide.

  • U.S. Marshals Recover Missing WV Child, Arrest Fugitive in D.C.

    Martinsburg, WV – The U.S. Marshals today recovered a missing West Virginia child in Washington, D.C., and arrested a man wanted in connection with the child’s disappearance.  

    An arrest warrant was issued Monday for Johnte Fitzhugh for felony concealment or removal of a minor child from custodian. As soon as the warrant was issued, the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Mountain State Fugitive Task Force in locating Fitzhugh and recovering the missing child.  

  • Oklahoma Fugitive Wanted for Rape in the 1st Degree Apprehended by United States Marshals in Florida

    Jacksonville, FL - Danta Thomas was arrested in Jacksonville, Florida by U.S. Marshals from the Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force (FCRFTF). Thomas was wanted on a felony arrest warrant out of Oklahoma County, OK for Rape in the 1st Degree and Attempted Rape in the 1st Degree. Thomas was accused of raping a female inmate while both were in custody at the Oklahoma County Detention Center. U.S. Marshals in Oklahoma City were requested by investigators to locate and apprehend Thomas.

    Portland, ME – The U.S. Marshals Service, Maine Violent Offender Task Force announce the arrest of Dylan Young, 52, of Wiscasset, Maine in Tampa, Florida. Young was wanted by the Wiscasset Police Department on a warrant for Failure to Appear, Aggravated Domestic Violence Assault issued on January 21st, 2022, by the Lincoln County Superior Court.

    Concord, NH – The U.S. Marshals Service – NH Joint Fugitive Task Force is very pleased to announce the arrest of “Fugitive of the Week,” Michael Lee Rand in Rochester on Saturday.

  • U.S. Marshals Task Force Arrest Alleged Arsonist

    Memphis, TN – Shaniqua Yates, 25, was arrested for Aggravated Arson by the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Team. U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announced today.

    On September 14, 2022, a fire was deliberately set and destroyed an apartment complex at 6355 Arbor Creek Trail in Memphis, Tennessee. An arrest warrant was issued for Shaniqua Yates. The fugitive investigation was adopted by the U.S. Marshals. 

  • U.S. Marshals Safely Recover 4 Children Abducted by Noncustodial Father

    Detroit, MI – U.S. Marshals in the Eastern District of Michigan, working with the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Florida Regional Task Force, Thursday recovered four children ranging in age from 3-10 who had been kidnaped by their father, a long-haul trucker.

    The U.S. Marshals in Detroit were tasked Tuesday with locating a missing endangered child abducted in April by the noncustodial father, Joses Braxton, who was wanted on a felony warrant for parental kidnaping out of the Saginaw County Sheriff’s Office.

  • Philadelphia Arson Fugitive Arrested by U.S. Marshals

    Philadelphia, PA — Members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Darren Arnold, 37, for arson and related charges, at approximately 12:00 p.m. in the 1000 block of Oregon avenue in Philadelphia PA. The arrest was made in relation to multiple August 2022 fires which occurred in the 100 block of N. 59th street. During the course of an arson investigation, more than 150 milk jugs filled with gasoline were found. A warrant was issued for Arnold on August 4th and the fugitive case was then delegated to the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force.

  • Cleveland Homicide Suspect Arrested in Solon Hotel

    Cleveland, OH – Early this morning, members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Jerome Rivers, 32.  A warrant was issued for Rivers on Monday of this week for the August 27 homicide of Theo Vance Echols, 32.

    Before dawn on Saturday, August 27, police were called to the area of 3700 East 50th St., in Cleveland’s South Broadway neighborhood.  When officers arrived, they found the victim, Theo Echols, with multiple gunshot wounds.  Officers learned that a verbal altercation had taken place shortly before the shooting.  

  • U.S. Marshals Announce the Start of ‘Operation Bless Baltimore’

    Baltimore, MD – The U.S. Marshals Service and task force partners are initiating a large-scale, community-outreach initiative. ‘Operation Bless Baltimore’ is a 90-day interagency operation established to support the Feds Feed Families (FFF) food drive and local charities via the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC).

  • U.S. Marshals Find Missing Oklahoma Juvenile in Akron, Ohio

    Akron, OH – Earlier today, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Missing Child Unit recovered Shawna Justice (17), a missing endangered juvenile from Oklahoma whose whereabouts have been unknown for ten months. Justice was reported missing to the Woodward County Sheriff’s Office in December 2021 and has been missing since. The Akron Police Department and the USMS entered the missing persons investigation last week and recovered Justice this morning in the Kenmore area of Akron, OH. An adult relative of Justice was also arrested on outstanding warrants during the recovery.

  • U.S. Marshals MCU Operation ‘Summer Knights’ Recovers Fourteen Missing Endangered Children And Makes Eight Arrests

    New Orleans, LA – U.S. Marshals Service Eastern District of Louisiana New Orleans Task Force Missing Child Unit Operation “Summer Knights” was conducted in the New Orleans metro area from April 30, 2022, through August 31, 2022, resulting in the recovery of fourteen missing or endangered children. In addition, one additional child was located.  Eight arrests were made also during the operation.

  • U.S. Marshals Arrest Massachusetts Sex Offender in Maine

    Portland, ME - The U.S. Marshals Service, Maine Violent Offender Task Force announce the arrest of John Bastian, 64 of Lynn, MA in Norway, Maine. Bastian was sought by the Massachusetts State Police and Lynn Police Department on a warrant issued on September 2nd, 2022, by the Lynn District Court. The charges included in the warrant are, Indecent Assault and Battery on Person with Intellectual Disability, Kidnapping, Enticement of a child under 16, and Rape of a Child with Force.
