The U.S. Marshals serves as the enforcement arm of the federal courts and is involved in virtually every federal law enforcement initiative.

Below are the news releases shared across the U.S. Marshals Service’s 94 districts informing the public of the day-to-day activities ranging from fugitive arrests, asset forfeitures, prisoner operations, judicial security measures as well as highlighting individual achievements and success stories within the agency.

  • Suspect in 2014 Texas Homicide Arrested in Ashland

    Ashland, OH – Earlier this morning, members of the United States Marshals Service Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Zykeshalla Murphy, 32.  Murphy was wanted by the Killeen, Texas Police Department for murder.

  • Suspect Wanted for Akron Store Clerk’s Murder Arrested by U.S. Marshals

    Akron, OH – This afternoon, members of the U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Da’Quan Mar’Ta Isaac, 26.  Isaac was wanted by the Akron Police Department for homicide.

  • Cleveland Man Wanted in Two Separate Shootings Arrested by U.S. Marshals in Miami

    Miami, FL – Today, members of the Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Marlon Benn. Benn was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for aggravated murder and felonious assault.

    Cleveland, OH – The U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF), in conjunction with the Cleveland Police Department (CPD), arrested Lavadus Morris (20) earlier this morning. Morris was wanted by both CPD and the Euclid Police Department (EPD) for separate homicides.

    Portland, ME – The U.S. Marshals Service, Maine Violent Offender Task Force and the Wells Police Department announce the arrest of Emanuel Diggs, 22, of Wells, Maine. Diggs had a State warrant issued for his arrest for Attempted Murder on December 10th and was safely apprehended last night on December 11th, 2023.

  • U.S. Marshals Elevate East Baton Rouge Man Wanted for Murder to Most Wanted List, Offer up to $25K Reward

    Washington, DC - The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) has elevated to its 15 Most Wanted Fugitive List a man wanted by the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office for first-degree murder and attempted murder.

    The USMS is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to Leethel White’s arrest.

  • U.S. Marshals Arrest Two Wanted for Murder Charges, to Include Man Wanted for Killing Two Local Brothers in Bedford Heights

    Cleveland, OH – Today, members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Shawntell Ellis, 29, and Eric Harris, 33. Ellis was wanted by the Bedford Heights Police Department for double homicide and Harris was wanted by the East Cleveland Police Department for homicide.

  • U.S. Marshals, FBI Looking for Violent Fugitive Wanted for Girlfriend’s Murder

    Hammond, IN - The U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force and the FBI are seeking the public’s help in locating a violent fugitive wanted by the Lake County Sheriff’s Department for murder and are offering a combined reward of up to $15,000 ($10,000 from the FBI and $5,000 from the USMS) for information leading directly to his arrest.

    Crime Fugitive Task Force is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Philadelphia prison escapee Gino Hagenkotter, 34. A warrant for escape was issued by the Philadelphia Police Department for Hagenkotter, and the U.S. Marshals Violent Crimes Fugitive Task was delegated the case.
