Below are the news releases shared across the U.S. Marshals Service’s 94 districts informing the public of the day-to-day activities ranging from fugitive arrests, asset forfeitures, prisoner operations, judicial security measures as well as highlighting individual achievements and success stories within the agency.
Washington, D.C. – The U.S. Marshals Service has added to its 15 Most Wanted list a man wanted by the Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Police Department and the Middle District of Pennsylvania for assault, homicide and parole violation charges.
Newark, NJ – The U.S. Marshals Service has concluded a 3 day enforcement initiative focusing on subjects wanted out of Essex County, NJ for charges including homicide, weapons possession, robbery, failure to register, and assault.
Memphis, TN – The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Task Force (TRVTF) recently completely 16 hours of training that focused on crimes against children. This week, instructors from the Texas Department of Public Safety traveled to Memphis and provided instruction in “Interdiction for The Protection of Children”.
Portland, OR – The United States Marshals Service, Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force, in coordination with the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office (MCSO), Multnomah County's Department of Community Justice (Parole and Probation), Gresham Police Department, Portland Police Bureau, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) conducted Operation Safer Multnomah, a U.S
Philadelphia, PA – Members of the U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force, arrested MarlonCooper,18, in relation to a shooting which occurred on August 7th, 2021,in the 1200 block of Cover Lane in Chester, PA. A warrant for criminal homicide was issued for Cooper in January 2022. Cooper then became a fugitive, and the U.S.
Cleveland, OH – Late this afternoon, members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF), along with the Cleveland Division of Police SWAT Team, arrested Sheldon Payne, 29.
Springfield, MO – Acting U.S. Marshal Scott Seeling, Western District of Missouri announces the arrest of three fugitives who escaped from the Barry County (MO) Jail on June 3, 2022, in Cassville, MO.
Akron, OH – This afternoon, members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Latrell Wilson, 38. Wilson was wanted by the Akron Police Department for homicide.
San Antonio, TX – Lance Stephens was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) this evening on charges involving escape from a county jail and felon in possession of a firearm.
Akron, OH – This morning, members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Deshawn Stafford Jr., 20 yrs, Tyler Stafford, 19 yrs, and Donovon Jones, 21 yrs. The three are wanted by the Akron Police Department for the fatal beating of Ethan Liming, 17 yrs, outside the I Promise School in Akron on June 2, 2022.
Jackson, MS – The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, with assistance from the Choctaw County Sheriff's Office, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, and Ackerman, Mississippi, Police Department today arrested the man charged with the murder of his pregnant girlfriend and a responding Meridian police officer Thursday night.
Concord, NH – The United States Marshals Service – NH Joint Fugitive Task Force is very pleased that several tipsters provided information that ultimately led to the arrest of a "Fugitive of the Week" hiding out in Concord, NH.
Albany, NY – Members of the U.S. Marshal's Albany Division of the New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force today arrested a suspect involved in a North Carolina homicide in May 2019.
Philadelphia, PA – The U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force arrested June 6 a second suspect in the June 4 mass shooting incident on South Street in which three people were killed and 11 injured.
Rashaan Vereen, 34, was taken into custody without incident around 7:30 p.m. in the 2300 block of Hemberger Street.
Chicago, IL – On Thursday, a Deputy U.S. Marshal and K-9 of the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force were shot during a fugitive operation. An ambulance from Chicago Fire Department was dispatched to the location, and the Deputy and K-9 received medical treatment for their injuries.
Brooklyn, NY – This morning, members of the U.S. Marshals Service, New York-New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force and the New York Police Department arrested Cierra Mack, 30. Mack was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for aggravated murder.
Cleveland, OH – This afternoon, members of the U.S. Marshals Service, Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Jumel Lewis, 42. Lewis was wanted by the Fulton County Sheriff's Office in Georgia for aggravated murder.
Concord, NH – The United States Marshals Service – New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force is happy to once again announce the arrest of fugitive, James Canney.
Harrisburg, PA – Today, United States Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Deron Derekem Scott, a 21-year-old Harrisburg man.
Williamsport, PA – Today, United States Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Jeferson Lopes-Deandrade, a 20-year-old man formerly of Philadelphia.
