U.S. Marshal Chrissie C. Latimore

The Honorable Chrissie C. Latimore was nominated by President Joseph R. Biden, Jr., confirmed by the United States Senate, and appointed on December 9, 2022, to serve as the United States Marshal (USM) for the District of South Carolina.

From 1999 until 2013, United States Marshal Latimore worked for the Laurens, South Carolina, Police Department, where she held numerous leadership positions including Patrol Lieutenant, Administrative Captain, and Assistant Chief of Police. She worked as a Special Agent for the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division from 2013 until 2014, at which time she returned to Laurens Police Department and served as the Assistant Chief of Police until being appointed Chief of Police in 2018. USM Latimore served as the Chief of Police for Laurens Police Department from 2018 until her appointment as United States Marshal.

United States Marshal Latimore received her Master of Science degree in 2014, from Anderson University Command College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2011, from Lander University. She is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Strategic Leadership degree program at Liberty University.
