U.S. Marshals SOG, CARFTF, Charles County Sheriff's Office, Arrest 3 Suspected Gang Members in Waldorf

Washington, DC - In support of the president’s initiative to Make DC Safe and Beautiful, the U.S. Marshals Service Special Operations Group (SOG), working with the USMS Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) and Charles County Sheriff’s Office, today arrested in Waldorf, Maryland, three individuals wanted on a variety of charges.

Eral Tyree Porter, 28, of Waldorf, was wanted for attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree, and use of a firearm by a felon in a violent crime.

Porter was taken into custody at an apartment in the 3000 block of Gallery Place. 

Two additional individuals with active warrants – Dnai Collins, 26, and Damon Dancy, 27 -- were also arrested on scene. All three are suspected gang members.

Investigators seized two handguns, $15,600 in counterfeit $100 bills, 14 pressed fentanyl pills, approximately .2 grams of crack cocaine and 6 grams of cocaine HCL with paper packaging.

The Special Operations Group is a specially trained, rapidly deployable law enforcement element of the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), capable of conducting complex and sensitive operations throughout the globe intended to further the rule of law. SOG leverages these enhanced capabilities in support of the Marshals Service mission and the Department of Justice to protect, defend, and enforce the federal judicial system.  

The U.S. Marshals Service is the federal government’s primary agency for fugitive investigations. The Marshals have the broadest arrest authority among federal law enforcement agencies. U.S. Marshals assist state and local agencies in locating and apprehending their most violent fugitives.
