U.S. Marshals Offering $5000 Cash Reward for Teen Wanted in Connection to Roxborough Shooting

Philadelphia, PA — The U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force is seeking the public's assistance in apprehending Dayron Burney-Thorn.

Burney-Thorn is wanted for murder and related charges in relation to the shooting death of a 16 year old boy which took place September 27th outside of Roxborough High School. Burney-Thorn is 16 years old, 6'3", 215 pounds, black hair, and brown eyes. His last known address was in the 2900 block of Bambrey Street in Philadelphia.

The Marshals Service is working in conjunction with PA CrimeStoppers and offering up to a $5000 cash reward for information leading directly to the arrest of Burney-Thorn. Tips can be called into PA CrimeStoppers at 1-800-4PA-TIPS or submitted online.

The Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force is a team of law enforcement officers led by U.S. Marshals in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties. The task force’s objective is to seek out and arrest violent crime fugitives. Membership agencies include the Philadelphia Police Department, Pennsylvania State Parole Officers, Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Attorney General Agents, Chester Police Department, and Bucks County Sheriffs.
