Harrisburg, PA – Today, United States Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrests of Luis Miguel Gonzalez-Soto - a 33-year old York man; and Joshua Soto-Colon – a 28-year old York man.
On Monday, July 20, 2020, the York City Police Department investigated a fist fight in the 300 block of West Gay Avenue that ended with the shooting and wounding of a man. Detectives obtained arrest warrants charging Gonzalez-Soto and Soto-Colon with Aggravated Assault and lesser included offenses. The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Fugitive Task Force was asked to apprehend both.
Today at about 7 a.m., members of the task force arrested Gonzalez-Soto in the 800 block of West Locust Lane, York and Soto-Colon in the 200 block of North Newberry Street, York. Both were arrested without incident and turned over to the York County Sheriff's Central Booking Unit.
United States Marshal Pane stated, "It's the Marshals Services' duty to ensure that those charged with violent crimes have their day in court. It is my sincere hope that the victim will find some measure of comfort knowing the suspects will face justice."
The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force in the Middle District of Pennsylvania is comprised of 20 state, county and local police agencies, including: the York City Police Department; the Pennsylvania State Police; the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole; the York County Sheriff's Office; the York County District Attorney's Office; the Northern York County Regional Police Department; and, the Spring Garden Township Police Department - all of whom participated in this fugitive investigation.
