Middle District of Pennsylvania
Harrisburg, PA

Harrisburg, PA – Today, United States Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Andres Rodriguez, a 23-year old Newmanstown man.

On November 27, 2020, the Lebanon Police Department investigated the fatal shooting of a man near the intersection of Chapel and South Seventh Streets. As a result of their investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging Rodriguez with homicide and lesser included offenses. Attempts to find Rodriguez in Lebanon were unsuccessful and the fugitive case was adopted by the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Fugitive Task Force.

Yesterday at about 3:00 p.m., members of the task force checked a hotel in the 100 block of Limekiln Road, Fairview Township, York County, and arrested Rodriguez without incident. He was turned over to Lebanon County officials for processing and arraignment.

U.S. Marshal Martin Pane said, "The U.S. Marshals Service recognizes the importance of bringing those charged with violent crimes to justice no matter where or how they flee. We give these types of cases our utmost attention. It is my hope that the family members will find comfort knowing the alleged attacker will face justice."

The U.S. Marshal Service Fugitive Task Force in the Middle District of Pennsylvania is comprised of 20 state, county and local police agencies, including: the Harrisburg Bureau of Police; the Pennsylvania State Police; the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole; the Lower Paxton Township Police Department; the Swatara Township Police Department; the Derry Township Police Department; the Dauphin County Adult Probation Office; and the Dauphin County Work Release Center; - all of whom participated in this arrest.
