U.S. Marshals, FBI Execute Three Federal Indictment Warrants for Sex Offenses Across Eastern Kentucky

Pikeville, KY – U.S. Marshals Service - Central Kentucky Fugitive Task Force (CKFTF) and FBI arrest three men indicted for separate sex offenses in the Prestonsburg, Ky area.

July 23, three separate indictment warrants of arrest were issued by the FBI - Pikeville field office for Bryan Cantrell, Simon Roxas and Andrew Lewis stemming from initial investigations by the Prestonsburg Police Department into sexual offenses.

July 27, U.S. Marshals Service was requested for assistance in locating and apprehending the suspects throughout Eastern Kentucky due to the violent nature of the indictment warrants.

July 28, U.S. Marshals Service - CKFTF in coordination with FBI - Pikeville led a multi-agency arrest operation, locating and arresting all three subjects in the Prestonsburg, Ky area without incident.

Bryan Cantrell, 31, of Minnie was indicted by a federal grand jury and arrested for 18 U.S.C. § 2251(a) Production of a Visual Depiction of a Minor Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct and Transportation of a Minor with Intent to Produce Sexually Explicit Conduct for Distribution.

Andrew Lewis, 40, of Prestonsburg was indicted by a federal grand jury and arrested for 18 U.S.C. § 2422(b), Attempting Online Enticement of a Minor. Lewis has additional outstanding charges out of Floyd County for Sexual Abuse 1st degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

Simon Roxas, 23, of Prestonsburg was indicted by a federal grand jury and arrested for 18 U.S.C. § 2252(a)(4)(b) Possession of Child Pornography.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office, Prestonsburg Police Department, Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, Whitesburg Police Department and Pike County Sheriffs Office all assisted with the investigation and arrest operation. 

In recognition of the 20th anniversary of the Adam Walsh Act, the U.S. Marshals Service conducted Operation Adam’s Watch, honoring Adam Walsh’s legacy and reaffirming the commitment to protecting communities through strong law enforcement partnerships and accountability.

The multi-week operation, conducted with federal, state, and local law enforcement partners across the nation, resulted in the arrest of more than 330 fugitives wanted for sex offender registration violations, sex assault, and other sex offenses.
