U.S. Marshals Arrest Fairfield Murder Suspect in Miamisburg

Cincinnati, OH – During the mid-morning hours of March 19, 2020, the U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) arrested fugitive Kirby Cheong on an outstanding warrant from the Butler County Court of Common Pleas of Butler County, Ohio for Murder.

On October 1, 2019, Cheong was allegedly involved in an assault of a female victim within the Fairfield, Ohio area; the victim was shot multiple times during the assault. The victim succumbed to her injuries after the attack. Fairfield Police Department investigators filed an arrest warrant for Cheong. The U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team in Cincinnati, OH, with assistance from the Fairfield Police Department, developed information Cheong was in the 9600 block of Summit Point Drive in Miamisburg, OH. Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team quickly arrested Cheong without incident.

Cheong is currently in custody at the Butler County Sheriff's Office.
