U.S. Marshals Arrest Double-Murder Suspect

Tampa, FL – Members of the U.S. Marshals Service Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested in Ellenton today a man wanted by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office on two counts of second-degree murder.
Keyan Jayden Rundell, 17, was identified Tuesday as the suspected shooter in the deaths of Samson Campbell, 18, and Dustin Rose, 19, who were found deceased July 29 in an industrial area in DeLand.
Rose and Campbell were childhood friends. Campbell had recently relocated to Chicago, and Rose was a cadet at the Citadel and a member of the South Carolina Army National Guard.
The U.S. Marshals Service is the federal government’s primary agency for fugitive investigations. The Marshals have the broadest arrest authority among federal law enforcement agencies. U.S. Marshals assist state and local agencies in locating and apprehending their most violent fugitives.
