New Hampshire Fugitive Wanted for Felonious Sexual Assault of a Minor Arrested by U.S. Marshals New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force in Vineland, NJ

Newark, NJ – Members of the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force, working in coordination with the U.S. Marshals Service District of New Hampshire, arrested in Vineland today a man wanted in New Hampshire for a sexual assault charge.  

Imani Davis, 31, was wanted by the Merrimack County Superior Court in New Hampshire on charges of failing to appear for felonious sexual assault of a minor.  

Following investigative efforts by deputy U.S. marshals and task force officers, Davis was located at the Relax Inn motel and taken into custody without incident.

Davis is being held pending extradition proceedings and will be returned to New Hampshire to face the outstanding charges.

“Protecting children and apprehending those accused of victimizing the most vulnerable members of our communities remains a top priority for the U.S. Marshals Service,” said Nicholas Ricigliano, Acting U.S. Marshal for the District of New Jersey. “This arrest demonstrated the strength of partnerships and the commitment of our deputies and task force officers to ensuring that fugitives are located and brought before the court, regardless of where they attempt to hide.”

These task forces are dedicated to reducing violent crime by locating and apprehending wanted criminals. They also serve as the central point for agencies to share information on fugitive matters. In 2025, the U.S. Marshals arrested 73,323 fugitives, cleared 87,984 warrants, which averaged out to around 293 fugitives arrested per day in 2025 alone.
