The results speak for themselves: murder is down 39.47%, sexual assault is down 43.13%, robbery is down 59.58%, and motor vehicle thefts are down 69.63%. Violent crime in Memphis has significantly been reduced across multiple categories.

In a statement from Gadyaces S. Serralta, Director of the United States Marshals Service and Chair of the Memphis Safe Task Force, he said:

“Since the launch of the Memphis Safe Task Force Operation, we have made more than 4,000 arrests, removing violent offenders from our streets and directly reducing violent crime across Memphis. This effort is about more than numbers, it is about upholding the rule of law, ensuring accountability, and creating safer neighborhoods where families can thrive. The long‑lasting effects of this work will be felt throughout communities across Memphis, and it is a testament to what can be achieved when county, local, state, and federal partners stand shoulder to shoulder in pursuit of justice.

Our success is built on collaboration and cooperation. Every arrest, every disruption of criminal activity is the result of agencies working together with a shared commitment to public safety. The men and women of the Memphis Safe Task Force, alongside our partners, should be commended for their dedication and professionalism in this continued success.

I am proud of the work we have done and the work we will continue to do. We will not relent in our mission to uphold the law, ensure accountability, and deliver justice. Together, we are building a safer Memphis, one that will endure for generations to come.”
