Memphis Safe Task Force Recovers Missing Child

Memphis, Tennessee — The Memphis Safe Task Force announces the recovery of a missing child. At approximately 12:30pm on October 27, 2025, the Memphis Safe Task Force recovered a missing child in Shelby County, Tennessee, who was reported missing by family members on October 12, 2025.

Memphis Safe Task Force members develop information through various leads. The child was ultimately returned by law enforcement to their legal guardian.

Since the creation of the Memphis Safe Task Force on October 1, 2025, there were 143 juveniles reported as missing in Shelby County, Tennessee. This is the 84th missing child safely found by the Memphis Safe Task Force since its inception. Several of these children have been located out of state.

“The Memphis Safe Task Force is committed to using every resource available to locate and recover missing and endangered children,” said U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller, Western District of Tennessee. The Task Force is an interagency coalition of federal, state, and local law enforcement partners and continues to demonstrate the power of collaboration in advancing public safety.
