Youngstown, OH – The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) announces the arrest of wanted fugitive Zachary Bair, 33. Bair was wanted by the Youngstown Police Department for aggravated murder.

According to the Youngstown Police Department, on December 22, 2022, officers responded to a gas station on the south side of Youngstown and located Devin Bell, 26, deceased. It is alleged that Bell was shot by two men wearing masks who fled on foot on Samuel Avenue after the shooting. One suspect, Akeem Hargrove, 31, was arrested a few days after Bell was killed and charged with aggravated murder. On May 17, 2024, the Youngstown Police Department issued a warrant for the arrest of Zachary Bair. Today, with the assistance of the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office, the NOVFTF was able to safely take Bair into custody at a business in the 600 block of Industrial Rd, Youngstown, OH.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “We could not be as successful at taking as many violent fugitives of the street as we do without the strong support of our local task force partners. Great work by the Youngstown Police Department to identify the second suspect in this investigation and thanks to the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office for their support in the safe arrest today.”
