Justice Without Borders, Memphis Safe Task Force Arrests Attempted Murder Suspect

Memphis, Tennessee — The Memphis Safe Task Force announces the successful arrest of Johnny Miller, 28, in West Memphis, Arkansas. This arrest reflects the speed at which justice can and will be served through the collaborated efforts of the Task Force.

At approximately 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, members of the Memphis Safe Task Force conducted a coordinated effort resulting in the arrest of Miller at a Super 8 Motel in West Memphis, Arkansas. Miller is charged with two counts of criminal attempt first degree murder, two counts of employing a firearm with intent to commit a felony, and one count of reckless endangerment. These charges stem from an Oct. 26 shooting incident in the 3000 block of Spottswood Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee. The Memphis Safe Task Force a interagency coalition of federal, state, and local law enforcement partners, continues to demonstrate the power of collaboration in advancing public safety. This arrest underscores the Task Force’s mission: To Make America Safe Again and To Make Memphis Safe.

Our message is clear, those who commit acts of violence will be found, and justice will be served. This operation is a testament to the dedication of every agency involved and the strength of our shared commitment to protecting the community of Memphis.
