For immediate release

Josh Lowe, Deputy U.S. Marshal

Northern District of Ohio
Cleveland, OH
(216) 589-2771

Russellville, AR – Today, members of the U.S. Marshals led Fugitive Task Force in the Western District of Arkansas arrested Ronald Thomas, 34. Thomas was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for aggravated murder.

On December 2, 2025, officers with the Cleveland Division of Police – Fourth District, responded to a shooting incident at a gas station near the 4000 block of E. 131st Street. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive male sitting in the front seat of a vehicle at a gas pump. The male was identified as Daniel Perry, 34. Officers attempted lifesaving measures, but Perry was pronounced on scene as he had succumbed to injuries suffered from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and arm.

Thomas was later identified as a suspect in this deadly incident, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. The Cleveland Division of Police requested assistance from the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force in apprehending Thomas. The initial investigation led task force members to believe Thomas had fled Ohio and was working and residing in another state. Today, members of the U.S. Marshals led Fugitive Task Force in the Western District of Arkansas arrested Thomas via a vehicle takedown on I-40 in Russellville, AR.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “Today was the third homicide arrest in two days by our fugitive task force. Our success is due to the tireless effort and good relationships with our law enforcement partners, locally as well as in other states and United States territories. We have the ability and authority to pursue and arrest any fugitive, anywhere in the United States, and we never stop until we have that fugitive in custody.”
