Capture Double Murder Fugitive

Jackson, TN – Tyreece Miller, U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Tennessee, and Jackson Police Chief Thom Corley announce the arrest of double murder fugitive Jadan Jermaine Bills, 19, of Jackson.

Bills was wanted for Two Counts of First Degree Murder, and Three Counts of Attempted First Degree Murder. These charges stem from an April 29, 2022, shooting where Bills is alleged to have shot inside a vehicle, occupied by five people, on N. Parkway at the U.S. 45 By-pass. Four occupants were hit and two victims, ages 18 and 16, died.

On May 4, the Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force based in Jackson adopted the case for a fugitive investigation. The Task Force tracked Bills to a motel on Highway 365 in Little Rock, Ark. Around 4:30 p.m. today, the Task Force from Jackson traveled to Little Rock and met with a U.S. Marshals Task Force based in Little Rock. Bills was located inside a room and was safely taken into custody. He was booked into the Pulaski County Jail and will await the extradition process back to Tennessee.

Chief Corley stated, “On April 29th, a senseless act of targeted violence occurred in our city. Precious lives were lost, and the person responsible shamelessly fled. But not for long. The officers and investigators of the Jackson Police Department quickly developed a suspect and set about to locate him. Collaborating with the U.S. Marshals Service, an apprehension was made today in Little Rock, Arkansas. I can't say enough about our dedicated team at JPD and our partnership with the U.S. Marshals.”

“We’re pleased to get Jadan Bills off the streets so he can face charges for this heinous act,” said U.S. Marshal Miller. “The partnership the U.S. Marshals Service has with the Jackson Police Department has proved time and time again to be beneficial to our agency and the communities we serve.”

This capture was a success with the assistance of Deputy U.S. Marshals in Little Rock including their task force partner agencies: Arkansas Department of Correction, Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Conway PD, Little Rock PD, and North Little Rock PD.

The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force within Western Tennessee. The Western Tennessee Division of the TRVFTF has offices in Memphis and Jackson, and its membership is primarily composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, and the Tennessee Department of Corrections Special Agents. The primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
