U. S. Marshals Task Force Arrest Suspect on Aggravated Assault, Assault on a Viable Fetus and a Drug Charge

Jackson, TN – The U.S. Marshals Service arrested Javion Mayo, 21, of Jackson, for Aggravated Domestic Assault and Assault on a Viable Fetus from Gibson County and a separate Simple Possession of Marijuana in Jackson, Tenn. U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announced today.

On March 24, Javion Mayo was allegedly involved in an attack on a pregnant female in Milan, Tenn. The victim was later treated for a concussion at a local hospital.

On April 15, the Milan Police Department issued a warrant for Mayo for Aggravated Assault (Domestic) and Simple Assault (Viable Fetus). This case was adopted by the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force (TRVFTF) in Jackson.

On April 19, the Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force apprehended Mayo at a residence near Kingsfield Drive in Jackson. Mayo was taken into custody without incident. He will be held at the Madison County Jail, then Gibson County to face charges charged by both jurisdictions.

The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force within Western Tennessee. The Western Tennessee Division of the Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force has offices in Memphis and Jackson, and its membership is primarily composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff's Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, and the Tennessee Department of Corrections Special Agents. The primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
