Harrisburg, PA – Today, United States Marshal Martin J. Pane
announced the arrest of Damon Baker, a 49-year-old Philadelphia man.
On June 8, 2021, the Philadelphia Police Department investigated the
fatal shooting of two people in the 1700 block of North 27th Street.
And, on June 23, 2021, detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging
Baker with two counts of homicide and lesser included offenses. Baker
could not be found, and the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Fugitive Task
Force was asked to apprehend him.
The fugitive task force
investigated and learned that Baker was staying in a hotel in the 200
block of Arsenal Road, York, Pennsylvania. Today at about 1 p.m.,
members of the fugitive task force and York County Drug Task Force
arrested Baker at the hotel without incident. He was turned over to the
York County Sheriff’s Office Central Booking Unit for processing and
