U.S. Marshals Task Force Captures Five Fugitives in One Day, Including a Murder Suspect

Memphis, TN – U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announces the arrest five individuals for felony crimes.

On September 22, 2021, the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force located Timothy Cook near the 2300 block of Park Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee. Cook was wanted for Felony Domestic Assault out of Shelby County and a Federal Supervised Release Violation warrant out of the Western District of Tennessee on a weapons charge. He was taken into custody without incident.

Darnisha Sims was wanted for a Federal Supervised Release Violation Warrant out of the Northern District of Mississippi on a weapons charge. She was located near the 1400 block of Hickory Way, Memphis, Tennessee and arrested without incident.

On September 5, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Lenisha Wright allegedly willfully struck an individual with her vehicle, which later caused his leg to be amputated, and robbed him of $1,000. Warrants were issued for the arrest of Wright for Attempted Murder, Mayhem With A Deadly Weapon, Kidnapping First Degree, Robbery With A Deadly Weapon and Battery With Intent To Commit Robbery by Clark County, Nevada. Working with the Marshals Office in Las Vegas, information was developed that Wright was at an apartment in the 6300 block of Oregon, Memphis Tennessee. She was located there and taken into custody without incident.

On September 12, 2021, an unknown male was shot to death near the 1900 block of Shelby Drive, Memphis Tennessee. A warrant for Homicide was issued for the arrest of Fontaine Holley for this crime. After negotiation and persuasion Holley surrendered himself to Task Force Officers on September 22, 2021.

In the evening of September 22, 2021, the Las Vegas, Nevada Marshals Office in coordination with the Task Force arrested Roy Frazier. He had an Aggravated Rape Of A Child and Rape Of A Child warrant out of Shelby County outstanding since October 6, 2020. Frazier was found from information ascertained by the Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force.

All arrests occurred on September 22, 2021. The Shelby County Fugitive Apprehension Team assisted with the Memphis arrests.

"The significance of these five arrests in one day really emphasizes the dedication, coordination, and persistence of the Marshals Service and our partners,” said U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller.

The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force in the Western District of Tennessee with offices in Memphis and Jackson. Its membership is composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff's Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, and Special Agents with the Tennessee Department of Correction. The primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
