Running From Justice Murder Suspect Facing 8 Felony Charges |
Live Oak, TX – Tyrese Deshawnd Lighty was arrested today by members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) after having eight outstanding warrants involving first degree murder, attempted murder and aggravated assault. Lighty, 22, was wanted by the Myrtle Beach Police Department (MBPD) after multiple warrants were issued for his arrest last October. Lighty was allegedly involved in a shooting that left two people dead and six others seriously injured. Lighty quickly went into hiding and had been on the run ever since. Members of the U.S. Marshals’ Carolina Regional Fugitive Task Force (CRFTF) provided assistance during the police investigation and recently learned that Lighty had ties in the San Antonio area. The CRFTF then contacted the LSFTF to assist in locating and apprehending Lighty. This evening, task force officers located Lighty at an apartment in the 13000 block of Oak Terrace Drive, in Live Oak, TX. Lighty was arrested without incident and is currently being held in custody at the Bexar County Jail while awaiting extradition to Myrtle Beach, SC. “Fugitives think they can outrun, hide and
eventually escape from justice,” said U.S. Marshal Susan Pamerleau. “But
justice is diligent and will always prevail.”
