Martinsburg, WV – On January 13, 2021, members of the U.S. Marshals Mountain State Fugitive Task Force arrested Tony Haile, 34, of Baltimore, MD. Haile was wanted by the Baltimore City Police Department for attempted murder. Haile is the alleged trigger man in a shooting which occurred on December 3, 2020, in Baltimore.

The U.S. Marshals Mountain State Fugitive Task Force and the Eastern Panhandle Drug and Violent Crime Task Force developed information that Haile was possibly staying in the area of Viking Way in Martinsburg, WV. Task Force members located Haile walking on Viking Way and took him into custody without incident.

The Martinsburg Police Department assisted in the fugitive investigation and provided pertinent intel and operational support which ultimately led to Haile's arrest. The U.S. Marshals Mountain State Fugitive Task Force consists of members from the West Virginia State Police, Martinsburg Police Department, Berkeley County Sheriff's Office, Charles Town Police Department, and Shepherdstown Police Department.

"The swift development of intelligence and teamwork from all of the agencies involved in this case led to the arrest of this dangerous fugitive," said Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Terry Moore.

Haile is currently being held at the Eastern Regional Jail, as a fugitive from justice, and is awaiting extradition back to Maryland.
