Attempted Murder Suspects Arrested by Marshals Task Force

Memphis, TN – U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announces the arrest of Anton Dyer and Lecarlos Spearman for Attempted First Degree Murder in unrelated crimes.

On April 25, 2020, a female victim was stabbed multiple times at a residence near the 950 block of Gaiter Park. On December 10, 2020, an arrest warrant was issued for Lecarlos Spearman for this crime.

On November 29, 2020, a male victim was shot and wounded near the intersection of I-240 and Poplar. On January 5, 2021, an arrest warrant was issued for Anton Dyer for this crime. In addition to Attempted First Degree Murder, Dyer's warrant also had a charge of Employment of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony.

On January 12, 2021, Investigators with the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force tracked Dyer to a residence near the 2500 block of Pershing. With the assistance of the Shelby County Fugitive Apprehension Team, Dyer was taken into custody without incident.

Later that same day, Investigators with the Task Force were able to locate Spearman at an apartment at the 400 block of Tilman. Again, with the help of the Fugitive Apprehension Team he was taken into custody without incident.

"Important partnerships with other agencies produce good results in Memphis and throughout West Tennessee," said U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller. "Potentially dangerous fugitives arrested peacefully is one of our main goals."

The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force with divisions in Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. The Western Tennessee Division of the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force has offices in Memphis and Jackson, and its membership is primarily composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff's Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, and the Tennessee Department of Corrections Special Agents. The primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
