Scranton, PA – Today, United States Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Taquil Lishemel Baley, a 21-year old Wilkes-Barre man.

On August 6, 2020, the Hanover Township Police Department investigated a shooting in the 1100 block of South Main Street. As a result of their investigation, officers obtained an arrest warrant charging Baley with Aggravated Assault, weapon offenses, and other lesser included offenses. Attempts to find Baley were unsuccessful and the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Fugitive Task Force was asked to apprehend him.

Yesterday, at about 11:00 a.m., members of the fugitive task force checked a home in the first block of East Blain Street in McAdoo, Schuylkill County and arrested Baley after finding him hiding in an attic. He was turned over to the Luzerne County officials for processing and arraignment.

United States Marshal Pane stated, "It's the Marshals Services' duty to ensure that those charged with serious crimes have their day in court. It is my sincere hope that the affected communities will find some measure of comfort knowing this suspect will face justice."
