Brownsville Murder Suspect Arrested by Marshals Task Force

Jackson, TN – U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announced today the arrest of Kendrick Jones who was wanted by the Brownsville Police Department for Second Degree Murder in the October 16th murder of Patrick Shaw, Sr. Marshals say they were contacted earlier this week after Jones was named as a suspect in a shooting which left Shaw dead. Marshals said they located Jones Wednesday in Dresden, Tennessee, and that he was found hiding under a bed when they searched the home of an associate.

"The Marshals focus on fugitives like Kendrick Jones" said U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller. “His arrest makes the Brownsville community safer."

The Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF) has offices in Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama. The West Tennessee office consists of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Investigators with the Jackson Police Department, Agents with the Tennessee Department of Correction, Investigators with the Memphis Police Department, Shelby County Sheriffs and Fayette County Sheriffs Office.
