Marshals Arrest Lake County Escapee

Jackson, TN – U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announced today the arrest of Camren Howard who was wanted by the Lake County Sheriffs Office for Escape. On Monday night Howard along with two other inmates overpowered a guard, stole jail keys and escaped the Lake County Jail where he was being held on previous charges. Today Marshals along with the Lake County Sheriffs Office located Howard at 640 Hayes Street in Tiptonville, Tennessee. Marshals say the house is the residence of an associate of Howard's. Marshals were also able to locate the stolen jail keys thanks to K9 Officer Echo of the Jackson Police Department. Howard was taken back to the Lake County Jail and awaits charges related to the escape. "When the Marshals Service was notified about this escape, we made it a priority to make sure Camren Howard was back behind bars," said U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller. "We are glad to assist Lake County and remain committed to assisting our partners."

The Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF) has offices in Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama. The West Tennessee office consists of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Investigators with the Jackson Police Department, Agents with the Tennessee Department of Correction, Investigators with the Memphis Police Department, Shelby County Sheriffs and Fayette County Sheriffs Office.
