U.S. Marshals Task Force Recovers Missing and Endangered Child

Kansas City, KS – The Kansas Fugitive Apprehension Task Force recovered a missing and endangered child, 14, that had been missing from the state of Washington since August 5, 2020.

The recovery took place when Task Force members located the child at a residence in the 1400 block of 77th Terrace Kansas City, Mo. The child also had a warrant for her arrest and was turned over to the Jackson County Juvenile Detention Center.

"The Marshals Service is committed to assisting state and local agencies with locating and recovering endangered missing children, to prevent them from being exploited by human trafficking organizations," said Ronald Miller, United States Marshal for the District of Kansas. "Our number one priority is to return these children home safely".

The Kansas Fugitive Apprehension Task Force consists of the US Marshals Service, Drug Enforcement Administration, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Kansas City Kansas Police Department, Overland Park Police Department, Johnson County Sheriff's Office, Wyandotte County Sheriff's Office, and Kansas Department of Corrections.
