Fugitive of the Week Found at Portsmouth Hotel

Concord, NH – This afternoon, last week's featured "Fugitive of the Week," Trisha Marie Ricker, 34 years-of-age was located and arrested at a hotel in the 3000 block of Lafayette Road in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Ms. Ricker was being sought on multiple outstanding arrest warrants issued by both the Rockingham County Superior Court and the Rochester District Court. The Rockingham County warrant alleges that Ricker failed to appear on two narcotics charges, while the Rochester District Court warrant alleges bail violations on three counts of assault, two counts of obstructing the report of a crime/injury and criminal trespass.

Ms. Ricker had been featured this past Wednesday (08/05/20) as the "Fugitive of the Week." This feature was aired on WTPL-FM, WMUR-TV, The Union Leader, The Nashua Telegraph, The Patch, Foster's Daily Democrat, Manchester Information, the Manchester Ink Link, the Rochester Voice and prominently featured on the internet. The "Fugitive of the Week" continues to be a very successful tool that has resulted in the location and arrest of numerous fugitives since its implementation in 2007. Additionally, the "Fugitive of the Week" is distributed statewide to all New Hampshire law enforcement officers.

After being featured as the "Fugitive of the Week", members of the US Marshals – New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force received tips pointing to several locations throughout the Strafford and Rockingham County areas. Today, information was developed indicating that Ricker was possibly staying at a hotel in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. After checking area hotels, this information was confirmed, and surveillance was established by members of the U.S. Marshals – New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force. After watching the hotel for a short period of time, Miss Ricker was observed walking from a hotel room. Members of the task force moved in and arrested Ricker without incident. Ricker was transported to the Rockingham County Jail for processing and holding pending her initial court appearance.

This investigation and arrest was made by several member agencies of the U.S. Marshals, New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force including the Strafford, Belknap and Rockingham County Sheriff's Offices, the Greenfield Police Department along with deputy U.S. Marshals.

Since the inception of the U.S. Marshals - New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force in 2002, these partnerships have resulted in over 8,061 arrests (Updated as of 06/30/2020). These arrests have ranged in seriousness from murder, assault, unregistered sex offenders, probation and parole violations and numerous other serious offenses. Nationally the United States Marshals Service fugitive programs are carried out with local law enforcement in 94 district offices, 85 local fugitive task forces, 8 regional task forces, as well as a growing network of offices in foreign countries.
