MSTF Arrests 30 Thursday, Recovers 6 Guns

Memphis, TN – The Memphis Safe Task Force (MSTF) on Thursday executed 30 arrests, including a man charged with first-degree murder, and seized six firearms.
Everett Walker, 33, was arrested outside a storage facility in the 300 block of South Front Street after MSTF located a vehicle tied to Walker, who is a suspect in a March 30, 2025, homicide, with the warrant for his arrest issued that day. MSTF established surveillance and arrested Walker after he emerged from a storage unit, got into the vehicle and began driving south down an alley. MSTF entered the alley from both directions, activating their emergency equipment, and contained the vehicle. Walker was taken into custody without any further incident. Walker’s car, a rental, was towed by Westbrook Wrecker Service with a hold for Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division.
Also of note:
Susan Williams, 44, and Billy Bailey, 56, were arrested in the 1200 block of Macon Road after MSTF received information that a vehicle traveling through Memphis was transporting narcotics. MSTF located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. MSTF located two pounds of crystal methamphetamine under a seat. Williams, the driver, and passenger Bailey were arrested without incident.
Xavier Beck, 41, was arrested in the 1500 block of Germantown Parkway on an outstanding warrant for aggravated kidnapping and charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm. Officers recovered a Sig Sauer 9 mm pistol in the parking lot near the vehicle and a Glock 9 mm in the front passenger seat.
Taurus Gillum, 23, was arrested after MSTF conducted a traffic stop for reckless driving at Warner Avenue and Kimmer Street and located a pistol with an attached foregrip and approximately one ounce of marijuana. Gillum, a passenger in the vehicle, is a convicted felon. He was placed under arrest for possession of narcotics with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during commission of a crime, felon in possession of a handgun, and resisting arrest. The driver of the vehicle, Adrianna Dunn, was issued citations for no license and reckless driving. Officers recovered a Palmetto P80 9mm handgun and the marijuana. The vehicle was towed.
Since the launch of the Memphis Safe Task Force initiative, officers have made 10,091 arrests, including 92 for homicide, 1,124 for controlled substances, 973 for firearms violations, and 105 for sex offenses. Of those arrested, 293 were juveniles and 1,069 were known gang members. The task force has seized 1,727 illegal firearms. These enforcement actions reflect a sustained commitment to reducing violent crime and removing dangerous weapons from Memphis neighborhoods.
The Memphis Safe Task Force is a multi-agency initiative established via a Presidential Memorandum signed by President Donald Trump on Sept. 15, 2025. Aimed at addressing violent street crime, the task force coordinates federal, state, and local law enforcement and includes mobilized members of the Tennessee National Guard. The MSTF is focused on arresting violent criminals, clearing warrants, seizing firearms, and locating missing children. Since the operation began, the MSTF has located 154 missing children.
This operation reflects the MSTF’s commitment to coordinated enforcement efforts and its mission to identify, apprehend, and hold accountable those who pose a threat to public safety.
