147 Fugitives Arrested by U.S. Marshals Service Nevada Violent Offender Task Force in First Quarter

Las Vegas, NV – The U.S. Marshals Service Nevada Violent Offender Task Force, a multi-agency task force dedicated to apprehending violent offenders, arrested 147 fugitives between January 1 and March 31. These arrests cleared 164 outstanding warrants in Nevada and other jurisdictions.

The apprehended fugitives were wanted for a range of offenses, including five (5) for homicide, five (5) for kidnapping, five (5) for robbery, seventeen (17) for aggravated assault, three (3) for burglary, thirty (30) for drug offenses, two (2) for escape, twenty-six (26) for firearm offenses, and thirty-four (34) for sex offenses. Additionally, two (2) missing children were safely recovered.

Notable Arrests:

Jay Claughton was arrested in Sparks on January 2, 2026. He was wanted by the Sparks Police Department for Vehicular Homicide and Driving Under the Influence.

David Bird was arrested in Las Vegas on January 7, 2026. He was wanted by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for Own/Poss Gun by Prohibited Person, Grand Larceny of a Gun, Burglary While Possessing a Gun/Deadly Weapon and was subsequently charged with Obstructing Police.

Jesus Ali Lara-Lara was arrested in Incline Village on January 22, 2026. He was wanted in Mexico for Weapons Trafficking.

Kyle James Hammonds was arrested in Willingboro, New Jersey on January 22, 2026. He was wanted by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for Sexual Assault Against Child Under 16.

Jahvaan Jaylyn Robinson was arrested in Las Vegas on January 29, 2026. He was wanted by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for 2nd Degree Kidnapping, Child Abuse/Neglect, Statutory Sexual Seduction, and Domestic Battery.

Devon McMillin was arrested in Sparks on January 30, 2026. He was wanted by the Nye County Sheriff’s Department for Sexual Assault of a Child Under 14.

Trayvon Leequan Palmer was arrested in Las Vegas on February 17, 2026. He was wanted by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department for Attempted First Degree Murder/Premeditated Intentional, First-Degree Murder, Aggravated Robbery, and Employing a Dangerous Weapon/Firearm with Intent.

Kody Gerald Corbett was arrested in Las Vegas on February 27, 2026. He was wanted by the Kaua’i Police Department for Theft in the First Degree.

Jonathan Parker was arrested in Las Vegas on March 5, 2026. He was wanted by the Nevada Attorney General for Escape.

Nathan Lee Potier was arrested in Sparks on March 17, 2026. He was wanted by the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office for Sexual Abuse of a Child.

Erica Palmer was arrested in Sparks on March 17, 2026. She was wanted by the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office for Enabling Sex Abuse of a Child and Child Abandonment.

Edward Christopher Chavez was arrested in Reno on March 18, 2026. He was wanted by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for Use or Permit Minor less than 14, to Produce Child Sex Abuse Material, Prepare Material Depicting Child Sexual Abuse Material, and Lewdness by Person MT 18 in Presence of Child under 18.

The U.S. Marshals Service collaborates with multiple Federal, State, and Local law enforcement agencies. U.S. Marshal Gary Schofield said, “Our pursuit of violent offenders is relentless, and our commitment to the community never wavers. Whether a fugitive resides here, visits, or attempts to flee, we will continue to pursue them until they are brought to justice. The success of these apprehensions reflects the strength of our task force partnerships and what coordinated teamwork can accomplish.”

The Nevada Violent Offender Task Force comprises of law enforcement officers from the U.S. Marshals Service; Carson City Sheriff’s Office; Boulder City Police Department; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives; City of Las Vegas DPS; City of North Las Vegas City Marshals; Clark County District Attorney’s Office; Douglas County Sheriff’s Office; Drug Enforcement Administration; Henderson Police Department; Homeland Security Investigations; Immigration and Customs Enforcement; Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department; Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office; Lyon County Sheriff’s Office; Mineral County Sheriff’s Office; Nevada Department of Corrections; Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles; Nevada Gaming Control Board; Nevada State Police; North Las Vegas Police Department; Nye County Sheriff’s Office; Reno Police Department; Sparks Police Department; Washoe County District Attorney’s Office; and the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.
