Cleveland, OH – Early yesterday, members of the U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Devin Terrell Robinson, 22.  Robinson was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for aggravated murder.

On February 6, Cleveland Police responded to a call for a male victim who had been stabbed in the area of West 94th St. near Denison Ave. When police arrived, they located the victim and provided lifesaving measures but the victim, Tyrell Small, 31, died due to his injuries.

A warrant was issued for Robinson on February 13 and investigators with the NOVFTF began looking for Robinson.  Yesterday, investigators with the Cleveland and Painesville Divisions of the NOVFTF were led to a home in the 3900 block of Mount Herman Ave. in Cleveland.  As officers searched the home for Robinson, they not only located and arrested Robinson but they also located and arrested Joshamee Transou, 28.  Transou was initially wanted by the Painesville Police Department for felonious assault, but the charges were later upgraded to attempted murder after a shooting that took place in 2023.

In addition to the arrests made in Cleveland, this morning the Akron Division of the NOVFTF arrested Philip Mayfield, 39. Mayfield was wanted by the Akron Police Department for homicide.  It is alleged that he ran over a male victim with his vehicle. The incident occurred on March 18, and Mayfield was initially charged with felonious assault but as the victim died days later the charges were adjusted to include homicide.  Mayfield was arrested without incident in the 700 block of Hazel St. in Akron.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “Three violent suspects have been arrested in 24 hours by members of our task force.  These three fugitives caused havoc in our communities and will now face the charges against them, hopefully ensuring justice for each of the victims in their cases.”
