U.S. Marshals Join Search, Offer up to $7,500 Reward for Brockton Double Murder Suspect

Boston, MA – The U.S. Marshals in the District of Massachusetts, working with the Massachusetts State Police and Brockton Police Department, are offering a reward of up to $7,500 and asking for the public’s help in locating a man suspected of killing two people in a March 22, 2025, shooting incident outside of a Chipotle in Brockton, MA.

U.S. Marshals fugitive - Davinci Leonard

Davinci Leonard, 23, is charged with two counts of First-Degree Murder, and one count each of Carrying a Firearm without a License, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Possession of Ammunition without a Firearm Identification Card, and Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling.

On Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 7:04 p.m., Brockton Police received a 911 call for a report of a shooting outside the Chipotle located at 500 Westgate Drive. Upon arrival, first responders located two victims, a 15-year-old male and an 18-year-old female, suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital. The male victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The female victim was med flighted to Massachusetts General Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. State police detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and Brockton Police Detectives identified Leonard as the suspected shooter.

Leonard is a black male, standing approximately 5 feet 9 inches and weighing approximately 140 pounds. Leonard is believed to have changed his appearance by cutting his hair short. Leonard should be considered armed and dangerous.

An arrest warrant has been issued out of Plymouth Superior Court with authorization for nationwide extradition.
