Student Volunteer Internship Program Application

Please read the Student Volunteer Internship Program section in its entirety before proceeding with the application process. The application process may differentiate depending on the Division or District filed office you are interested in. Individual Districts handle their own internships

 

District Field Offices

If you are interested in the Student Volunteer Internship Program with a District field office (with the exception of DC District Court or DC Superior Court) please contact the District Office directly to receive further information on the application process.

Division (HQ) Offices

The U.S. Marshals Office Headquarters is located in Arlington, VA (part of the Washington, DC Metropolitan area). 

If you are interested in the Student Volunteer Internship Program for reporting to a Headquarters (Division), the DC District Court, or the DC Superior Court, please contact the Student Volunteer Internship Program mailbox with the following:

Interested students should send: 

  • cover letter, 

  • resume, 

  • In the body of the email they should state the semester (and year) of preference, and the location (city and state) they would like to intern - either Headquarters (Division), the DC District Court, or the DC Superior Court.

Do not send any applications to the mailbox if you are interested in the Student Volunteer Internship Program with a District field office. You must follow the instructions above for applying to a District field office.
