U.S. Marshals Recover Two Missing Teens in Cleveland

Cleveland, OH – On June 29, 2021, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) and Cleveland Division of Police recovered a 12-year-old girl who had been reported as an endangered runaway. The girl was recovered in Cleveland’s Second District and had been missing for approximately thirty (30) days. After the report was taken, the USMS worked closely with the Cleveland Police to find this child and the cooperation was instrumental in her recovery.

Yesterday, the U.S. Marshals Service and Parma Police Department, with the assistance of Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland Clinic Police, recovered a fourteen year old endangered missing child who was reported missing this past Saturday and was recovered safely.

The recovery of missing and endangered children is a primary investigative mission for the U.S. Marshals Service and a top priority in the Northern District of Ohio. Since October of 2020, the conclusion of Operation Safety Net, the USMS and its law enforcement partners have located and recovered thirty-five (35) missing or endangered children across Northern Ohio. The U.S. Marshals Service continues this focus on the investigation and recovery of missing or endangered children across Northern Ohio and beyond.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, "The importance of locating and recovering these children can't be understated. Helping them return to a safe environment is paramount. The excellent and dedicated work of our deputies and local partners continues to make a difference for these children and our community."
