Alleged Domestic Abuser Arrested by U.S. Marshals Task Force

Memphis, TN – U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announces the arrest of Broderick Wright for Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Burglary.

It is alleged that on January 21 in Memphis, Tennessee, Wright broke into his estranged wife's house and threatened to kill her in front of her children. The next day, he allegedly broke into her house again and strangled her. On January 26 warrants for Wright's arrest were issued.

The case was adopted for fugitive investigation by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Earlier this evening Investigators with the task force were able to track the fugitive to a location in Evansville, Indiana. The U.S Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force was able to locate Wright and take him into custody without incident.

"It is my understanding that the suspect in this case allegedly caused a great deal of terror to his victim," said U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller. "The Marshals Service does its work for the victims of violent crimes."

The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force with divisions in Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. The Western Tennessee Division of the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force has offices in Memphis and Jackson, and its membership is primarily composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff's Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, and the Tennessee Department of Corrections Special Agents. The primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
