U.S. Marshals Arrest Whitewater Township Shooting Suspect in Indiana

Cincinnati, OH – During the early-morning hours of October 27, 2020, the U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) arrested fugitive Brian Jackson on an outstanding warrant from Hamilton County for two counts of Felonious Assault.

On October 16, Jackson was allegedly involved in an assault on Shore Lane where two people were struck by gunfire. Hamilton County Sheriff's Office investigators filed an arrest warrant for Jackson. The U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team in Cincinnati, Ohio, with assistance from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, developed information Jackson was in the 50 block of U.S. Highway 50 in Greendale, IN. Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team quickly arrested Jackson without incident.

Jackson is currently in custody at the Dearborn County Sheriff's Office awaiting extradition back to Hamilton County.

Cincinnati's Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team is a U.S. Marshals Service-led task force consisting of local, state, and federal authorities including the Adult Parole Authority, Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, Butler County Sheriff's Office, Butler County Probation Office, Cincinnati Police Department, Colerain Township Police Department, Department of Homeland Security/ Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Golf Manor Police Department, Harrison Police Department, Social Security Administration Office of the Inspector General, Warren County Prosecutor's Office, Warren County Sheriff's Office, and the Mount Orb Police Department.

U.S. Marshals are the nation's primary fugitive hunting organization and capture more federal fugitives each year than all other law enforcement agencies combined.
