U.S. Marshals Arrest Dyer County Escapee

For immediate release

Jackson, TN – U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announced today the arrest of Antoine Thomas who escaped from the Dyer County Jail on August 30, 2020. Officials say Thomas along with Michael Bolden overpowered a Correctional Officer, took their keys and then scaled a fence to flee from the jail. The Correctional Officer was injured during the incident and treated at a local hospital. Last night U.S. Marshals, along with Dyer County Sheriff's Deputies, located Thomas at 1002 Lipford Circle in Dyersburg after receiving a tip. Officers say residents there initially attempted to deny them entrance to the address but Thomas was eventually taken into custody without further incident. Thomas was taken to the Dyer County Jail after being treated for injuries sustained during the escape.

U.S. Marshals say Bolden remains at large and ask anyone with information to please call them at (731) 427-4661 or contact Crime Stoppers at (731) 285-8477. A cash reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.

The Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF) has offices in Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama. The West Tennessee office consists of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Investigators with the Jackson Police Department, Agents with the Tennessee Department of Correction, Investigators with the Memphis Police Department, Shelby County Sheriff's Office and Fayette County Sheriffs Office.
