For immediate release

Spokane, Wash. - On November 4, 2026, at approximately 6:10 p.m., the United States Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force (PNVOTF) and Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force (GIFT), detectives and deputies with the Spokane Valley Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Post Falls Police Department, working with the King County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Austin Winchester, 58, in the 5000 block of North Del Rey Drive in Otis Orchards, Washington, on a King County Superior Court felony warrant for two counts of commercial sex abuse of a minor, two counts of rape of a child in the third degree, and two counts of communication of a minor for immoral purposes in King County, Washington.

The arrest followed a coordinated, multi-agency fugitive investigation involving law enforcement personnel in Washington's Eastern and Western Districts.

The U.S. Marshals Service and its law enforcement partners remain committed to locating and apprehending individuals wanted for serious criminal offenses, particularly those involving children.

Winchester is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force is a U.S. Marshals-led partnership comprising federal, state, and local law enforcement officers from Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. The task force’s primary mission is to locate, arrest and return to the justice system the most violent and egregious federal and state fugitives.
