For immediate release

Concord, NH – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) District of New Hampshire and the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force (JFTF), working with federal, state and local law enforcement partners, helped locate and apprehend Jacob Reznikow, 39, in upstate New York following a months-long effort to bring him into custody.
The Nashua Police Department requested assistance from the JFTF in late June after Reznikow failed to appear for an arraignment related to his June 10 arrest on a driving under the influence charge. Following that arrest, law enforcement officials brought additional firearms and drug charges against Reznikow stemming from items discovered in his vehicle after it was seized. Reznikow was prohibited from possessing firearms because of a March 2021 conviction for selling controlled drugs in Nashua.
Following his failure to appear, Reznikow took active steps to evade law enforcement, including an incident in which he recklessly fled from officers several weeks ago. Additional charges are pending stemming from the damage caused in the wake of this flight.
“When someone repeatedly evades law enforcement while facing serious firearms and drug charges, it raises significant public safety concerns,” said Nashua Police Department Chief Kevin Rourke. “This arrest demonstrates the importance of working together across jurisdictions to locate dangerous individuals and hold them accountable. We appreciate the dedication and coordination of our local, state and federal partners in bringing this investigation to a safe conclusion.”
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and New Hampshire State Police provided key investigative resources to help locate Reznikow. Through coordinated investigative efforts, the agencies, working alongside the Nashua Police Department and the JFTF, tracked him to upstate New York.
Friday morning, members of the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force were able to locate and safely apprehend Reznikow at a McDonald’s restaurant in Rome, New York, without incident.
“Fugitives cannot evade accountability simply by crossing state lines,” said Katherine Burns, the acting U.S. Marshal for the District of New Hampshire. “This case underscores the commitment of the U.S. Marshals Service and our partners to protecting the public and bringing fugitives to justice wherever they may try to run.”
Reznikow was arraigned in New York on Saturday on a fugitive from justice charge. He will be held without bail at the Oneida County Jail pending an extradition hearing tomorrow.
The USMS New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force was formed in the fall of 2002 and is headquartered in Concord. The task force coordinates federal, state, county, and local resources to develop leads, gather intelligence, track and apprehend targeted fugitives. The Task Force receives vital support from Strafford, Merrimack and Rockingham Counties, as well as the cities of Manchester, Nashua and Concord.
