U.S. Marshals Participate in Operation 10/90 Targeting Violent Offenders in Dallas, TX

Dallas, TX – The United States Marshals Service (USMS) – North Texas Fugitive Task Force (NTFTF) partnered with the Dallas Police Department to conduct Operation 10/90, an operation focused on targeting the 10 percent of the population who commit crimes against the other 90 percent – the law-abiding citizens within the Dallas communities.

Operation 10/90 was centered on the South Central Division of the City of Dallas, which was chosen based on crime data and feedback from members of the community.

The operation ran from September 1 to September 30, 2026, yielding over 100 arrests; of which 72 were felonies, 10 seized firearms, 2 case referrals to the Northern District of Texas United States Attorney’s Office, and 345 traffic citations as a result of the surge.
One of the many noteworthy arrests made during the operation occurred on September 4, 2026, when the NTFTF partnered with the Dallas Police Department’s South Central Patrol Division to safely apprehend Mysiah Clark, 19, who was already on-bond via a court-ordered ankle monitor as a result of a murder charge in Dallas. He cut off his ankle monitor and allegedly committed a second murder in Forney, Texas.

The operation concluded with a press conference on October 6th, 2026, at the Dallas Police Department Headquarters. The presser highlighted the 20+ year fruitful partnership between the North Texas Fugitive Task Force and the Dallas Police Department.

Sean Malecha, Acting United States Marshal for the Northern District of Texas, stated “The U.S. Marshals Service and its partners stand between the 10 and 90 percent daily, leveraging relationships, resources, and its vast investigative network to find and apprehend the 10 percent wherever they may hide.”
