U.S. Marshals Track Down Man Wanted for Attempted Murder and Kidnapping, Hiding Out in Louisville, KY

Louisville, KY – U.S. Marshals Service-fugitive task force comprised of members of the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky arrest a man wanted for multiple warrants out of Madison County and Lexington, attempting to evade law enforcement in Louisville.

August 3, Tyler Mack who was wanted by the Richmond Police Department, Lexington Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service was apprehended in a joint operation between the U.S. Marshals Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky. Mack utilized the accomplices’ resources to evade law enforcement in Lexington and flee to Louisville.

U.S. Marshals were able to track Mack’s movements and conduct a take down operation of Mack after positively identifying him in an area of interest in Louisville through an extensive fugitive investigation.

May 23, law enforcement state Mack forced his way into a residence, assaulted someone with a handgun and shot six times at a person attempting to flee the scene in Madison County.  

Mack was wanted for Attempted Murder, Kidnapping, Robbery 1st degree, and Burglary 1st degree due to the incident. Mack also has an additional federal firearm charge for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm out of Lexington in reference to a July 24 incident.

The U.S. Marshals Service provides assistance and expertise to other federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies in support of their fugitive investigations and apprehending violent offenders.
