Man Wanted for Sex Crimes in Memphis Captured by U.S. Marshals

Jackson, TN - The U.S. Marshals Service Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force (USMS) captured a Jackson man wanted for multiple sex crimes in Memphis.

Craig Nakutis, Jr., 30, of Jackson, was indicted in July 2026 by a Shelby County Grand Jury for Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, Solicitation of a Minor, and Aggravated Statutory Rape following an investigation by the Memphis Police Department.

U.S. Marshals were asked to assist in locating and apprehending Nakutis.

On July 22, the Task Force went to Nakutis’ residence at Cherry Grove Apartments in Jackson and took him into custody.

Marshal Tyreece Miller said, “The community is safer when an offender who preys on children is off the street.”

Nakutis was transported to the Madison County Jail, and a hold was placed on him for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
