U.S. Marshals Searching for Wanted Murder Suspect From Columbus

For immediate release

Cleveland, OH – Early this morning law enforcement officers with the Strongsville Police Department encountered a male and female in the area of the Sheetz gas station and Best Western Hotel on Route 82 in Strongsville.  At the time of the encounter the male provided false information about his identity.  After finding his correct identity, officers with Strongsville Police attempted to make contact with the suspect again, whose true identity is Lezleon Virjon Evans, 20, wanted for murder by the Columbus Police Department. As officers attempted to make contact with Evans he fled into a wooded area south of the hotel and gas station.  Additional law enforcement officers and the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) responded to the area to search for Evans.

At this time the search for Evans is ongoing.  If anyone has information about Evans’ whereabout they are asked to call the NOVFTF at 1-866-4-WANTED.  Callers can remain anonymous and reward money is available.  Do not approach Evans, call police.
