U.S. Marshals in NY Arrest Woman Tied to Delaware Child’s Murder

Wilmington, DE – The U.S. Marshals Service(USMS) First State Fugitive Task Force, along with the New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force (NY/NJRFTF) on Friday apprehended in New York City a woman connected to the murder of a 10-year-old girl and the continuous child abuse of two additional children.
Adiaratou Coulibaly, the girl’s mother, was wanted by the Delaware State Police for murder by abuse or neglect second-degree, stemming from an incident on May 27 in Smyrna.
On June 4, the First State Fugitive Task Force requested assistance from the USMS NY/NJRFTF Manhattan Office with locating and apprehending Coulibaly.
NY/NJRFTF members located Coulibaly at an apartment complex in the 500 block of Castle Hill Avenue in the Bronx and took her into custody without incident.
The girl’s father, Badara Kone, was arrested and charged May 28 with the girl’s murder, as well as abuse of his two other children.
The USMS First State Fugitive Task Force in the District of Delaware is a multi-agency partnership dedicated to locating and apprehending violent fugitives, sex offenders, and individuals with outstanding warrants. It is composed of state, county, and local police agencies including the Delaware State Police, Delaware State Probation and Parole, Wilmington Police Department, New Castle County Police Department, Dover Police Department, and the University of Delaware Police Department.
