U.S. Marshals Capture Armed Subject with Narcotics in Troy

Albany, NY – Members of the U.S. Marshal’s Albany Division of the New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force (NY/NJ RFTF) on Tuesday afternoon in Troy arrested a man wanted on a parole violation, with an underlying conviction for criminal possession of a firearm.
Damani Murray was taken into custody after a brief foot chase.
As team members moved in to make the arrest, Murray attempted to flee on foot and discarded a firearm. Investigators seized ecstasy from him and recovered the handgun.
In addition to the parole violation, Murray was charged with criminal possession of a loaded firearm and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Murray was transported to the Troy Police Department for processing and will be presented before a judge.
