Zero Tolerance, Memphis Safe Task Force Arrests Armed Driver Following Injury Crash

For immediate release

Memphis, TN – The Memphis Safe Task Force has arrested Lamark Boykin, 24, on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Driving Under the Influence following a recent investigation connected to a serious fleeing and eluding incident earlier this month.

On December 13, 2025, Boykin’s vehicle was involved in a fleeing incident that resulted in a crash causing injuries to an ATF agent and an uninvolved citizen. The collision occurred after Boykin allegedly attempted to evade law enforcement during an encounter that remains under active review by Task Force partners.

During Boykin’s arrest, Task Force members seized his vehicle and recovered a firearm.

Violent and reckless actions that endanger the public and our law enforcement partners will not be tolerated. Accountability begins the moment an offender chooses to put others at risk.

The people of Memphis expect safety and accountability, and the Memphis Safe Task Force will uphold both.

The Memphis Safe Task Force continues to work closely with federal, state, and local partners to investigate the circumstances surrounding the December 13 incident.

Additional charges may be considered as the investigation progresses. The Task Force remains committed to removing illegally possessed firearms from the community, holding offenders accountable, and protecting the safety of Memphis residents and law enforcement personnel.
