Memphis, Tennessee – The Memphis Safe Task Force saved a 30-year-old man’s life last night following a suspected opioid overdose in the 2700 block of Airways Boulevard. While executing an unrelated search warrant stemming from a vehicle stop, Task Force members were interrupted by a distraught individual who emerged from a nearby motel room, urgently pleading for help. She reported that a man inside was unresponsive and believed to be suffering from an overdose. She was in the process of calling 911 when Task Force members immediately responded.

According to Task Force personnel, agents swiftly transitioned from their investigative duties to a lifesaving role. They administered emergency medical care on scene, stabilizing the individual. Task Force members remained with the victim, providing continued aid and comfort while coordinating with arriving emergency medical responders.

The Memphis Safe Task Force includes strategically embedded members who are not only seasoned investigators but also highly trained first responder medics. This dual capability ensures that Task Force deployments are equipped to respond to both criminal investigations while also being prepared to handle medical emergencies when applicable.

This incident underscores the Task Force’s unwavering commitment to protecting lives and enhancing public safety through saturated interagency collaboration and mission driven adaptability.
