February 15, 2011 - Director Hylton testified before the House Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security regarding the Marshals Service’s role in enforcing the Adam Walsh Act. The Director discussed a variety of operations and programs throughout the agency which have produced impressive numbers related to the apprehension of non-compliant sex offenders. She also answered questions from Representatives about the challenges facing the Marshals Service when it comes to fulfilling its mandates under the Act. Operation Orange Crush, led by the U.S. Marshals, represents an unprecedented law enforcement effort to combat violent crime concentrated on a single state over a specific period of time.
